Renault (+51.3%) places Zoe at #6 in market down -24.9% – Best Selling Cars Blog

[ad_1]

The Renault Zoe breaks into the Finnish Top 10 for the first time.

7,187 new passenger cars found a Finnish home in June, that’s a harsh -24.9% year-on-year drop. It leads to a year-to-date volume off -22.8% to 42,601. Brand-wise, Toyota (-33.7%) falls faster than the market but remains ultra-dominant at 16.6% share vs. 18.8% so far this year. Volkswagen (-36.2%) is hit even harder year-on-year but is up one spot on last month to #2, and overtakes Volvo to hit #3 YTD. Kia (-17.7%) resists somewhat at #3 and remains #2 YTD while Skoda (-31.1%) is in a rut. Mercedes (+7.9%), BMW (+7.7%) and Renault (+51.3%) sign market-defying year-on-year upticks below, with Nissan (+8.8%) also up in the remainder of the Top 10. In contrast, Volvo (-50.5%) and Audi (-37.3%) are hit full frontal. Further down, notice Land Rover (+343.8%), Dacia (+154.2%) and Cupra (+131%) – now above Seat YTD.

In the models charts, Toyota monopolises the podium once again and now also does so YTD, an impressive feat. In June, the Corolla (-41.6%), Yaris (-51.1%) and RAV4 (+6%) dominate and follow the same order YTD. The Kia Ceed (-15.3%) remains in 4th place above the Nissan Qashqai (+24.2%) up two to #5. The event of the month is the 6th place of the Renault Zoe, believed to be its first incursion inside the Finnish Top 10. The Toyota Yaris Cross drops one spot on May to a still very satisfying #7, while the VW Golf (-34.7%), Skoda Enyaq (+6.1%) and Octavia (-66.8%) round out the Top 10 with varied fortunes. Below, the BMW X3 (+46.1%), Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (+55.7%), Skoda Kodiaq (+121.3%) and Citroen C3 (+261.9%) make waves.
