Unlike the current A110, which is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, the A110 E-ternité is all electric. It is offered with the same electric powertrain as the Megane E-Tech: an electric motor that delivers a total of 238 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. But, when compared to the electric Megane Alpine had to design a specific battery casing and to adapt the internal architecture of the A110. As such, the A110 features four modules placed up front and eight at the rear.

By comparison, the A110 delivers 300 horsepower and 251 pound-feet. The E-ternité goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, and can hit a top speed of 155 mph. The ICE powered A110 does the same sprint in 4.2-4.4 seconds and goes up to a top speed of 161-174 mph. Also, when compared to the A110, the E-ternité gained 258 kilo, mostly because of its 392-kilo battery pack. The concept also promises a range of 420 kilometers (260 miles).

The E-ternité Concept looks a lot like the A110 concept, but it comes with a removable roof. Key parts of the car, like the bonnet, roof, rear window, grille, seat shells, and rear skirt, are made from flax: a lightweight and more environmentally friendly material. Also, on the interior the cockpit was specially designed, and it also integrates a state-of-the-art audio system with 8 speakers and an innovative multimedia system using the driver’s personal tablet as the multimedia screen.

When will the A110 E-ternité arrive?

The concept was launched to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary and connect a prestigious past with a 100% electric future. Luca de Meo has a very clear target: “to electrify the next Alpine vehicles, and why not starting by the A110,” which means that the production version of the A110 E-ternité should arrive sometime in the next two-three years.
